Join the Oar-Some Marine Reserve one day kayak tour and finish your day in breath taking Anchorage. You will stay on board the Aqua Packers, floating backpackers where you can truly relax in style with a hot shower, barbeque dinner, continental breakfast and a cosy cabin or dorm bed. On day two you can take the morning at your pace. Walk the coastal track (approx 1 hour) to Observation Beach where you will meet up with your afternoon guide and kayak your way through the sheltered Astrolabe waters. Check out the islands including the very special Adele Island – home to the NZ Fur Seal (kekeno) and a cacophony of native birdsong before finishing your two day tour back in Marahau.

What to bring:

Please bring with you a water bottle, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, swim suit or fast drying clothing (avoid pants or jeans), warm jacket (avoid cotton – wool or fleece is best), change of clothes, towel, walking shoes or walking sandals, any personal medication you may require and of course don’t forget your camera.

What we provide:

Top quality double sea kayak, buoyancy aid, spray skirt, paddle jacket, paddle, waterproof map, all safety gear required, food (when included), dry bag for cameras and of course one of our superstar guides.
